Resources and resilience planning

Strategem led a comprehensive review of the agency’s resources and resilience, identifying opportunities to eliminate duplication, enhance operational excellence and design a structure that is fit for purpose. This included delivering an organisational structure that can expand over time as and when government chooses with future capability requirements documented.

Key deliverables

  • Resource Assessment: Conducted interviews with the executive team to identify areas of duplication and potential productivity improvements.

  • Organisational Alignment: Facilitated workshops to define the purpose, functions, and core business activities of each directorate.

  • Future Structure Design: Developed a new organisational structure aligned with strategic objectives and required capabilities.

  • Change Management: Guided the implementation of the new structure through a comprehensive change management process.

Achievement

The development of a team purpose, functions and core business activities document that reflects the work of all staff. Facilitated a deeper understanding of each Directorate and the connection points between teams in successful planning and delivery. Enhanced the confidence and competence of the Senior Leadership Team to navigate the complexity of parks management. 
Co-designed a health and wellbeing action plan that is practical and developed an approach to improve feedback and performance management. Contributed to advancing the capabilities of the executive and senior management teams, positioning the agency for long-term success.
